~The Top Shows and Books~
Okay, I'm not a SUPER expert, but I know some pretty good animes and mangas when I see them. I will admit, right now, that I have not read a lot of manga, mainly because I tend to like to watch them more then read them. And, YES these are my summaries, I wrote them.

5. Death Note
Death Note - A show about a college kid, Light Yagami (spell his last name backwards, you'll get a laugh), finding a notebook dropped by a shinigami (means god of death) that kills the human whose name is written in it and deciding to wipe out criminals to create a better world, where he will reign as some twisted god. But of course, the detective, L, can't allow this, and immediately catches on a trail, and one of the first people he suspects is, you guessed it, Light. From there on it's a mental tug of war as they try to outsmart each other.
Well, Death Note was one of my first, and favorite animes, but the reason it's down so far is because I really think that the show went by too fast. Honestly, I liked the live action movies better, but I still LOVED it.

4. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Now, I'm sure we all think we're special in some ways, but Haruhi Suzumiya is a new kind of case. She can manipulate the world around her. She wished for aliens - Yuki Nagato was suddenly there. She wanted time-travellers - say hi to Mikuru Asahina. Espers please? Oh, it's Itsuki Koizumi. Haruhi has amazing powers, but she doesn't know about them. Best not to let her get too bored or angry though - she might end up ending the world.
You know, I love this show with a passion, but because the episodes I find online switch from subs to dub, the episodes really manage to confuse me. Not that I mind! This entire show is an awesome brain stopper!

3. Elfen Lied
Elfen Lied - A hard to explain show that involves pink haired with horns that have invisible arms that can cut through things, which deems them dangerous and to be exterminated. Lucy, who is called the queen of this, is a pink haired and positively vicious girl, and would kill you without hesitating. She looses her memory after being shot in the head while escaping the lab she was being contained in, and this causes some problems for her. She reverts to split personalities, one being the blood-thirsty, unforgiving Lucy, the other being the sweet, innocent Nyu. She is taken in by two cousins, Kouta and Yuka, who haven't seen each other in years, and deadly and daily life ensues, getting darker and stranger around each corner, bringing dark, and painful memories to the surface.
Oh, I absolutely ADORE this show! I'm so SAD there were only 13 episodes! I loooove it! I HATE Yuka though... if you watch, you'll understand why in episode 6.
PLEASE NOTICE: This show is rated M for many good reasons - Nudity, lots of blood, and swearing.

No, Daddy, no Daddy! No!" !SPOILERS OVER!

2. Ouran High School Host Club
Ouran High School Host Club - High school can be hard right? Not as hard as it is for Haruhi Fujioka! She goes to a high school for filthy rich kids while she herself is poor. But the ignorance of these kids isn't the only thing - on her first day there, she opens the door to The Music Room #3 and finds the Host Club! She breaks a very expensive vase and owes a rather large debt... but that's not all either - they think she's a guy. So they make her be a host for ladies (not that she really cares, her father is a tranny), and later when they find out she's a girl, she still decides she wants to do it, to repay her debt. Hilarity ensues with every episode!
It's kind of embarrassing how much I love this show.............. oh well, I've got some good stuff to fangirl over, eh? Oh, yes INDEED.

Character: You expect me to pick ONE guy out of the hot-hunk they've got in there?!? I think NOT. But Hunny's super adorable, the twins are HOT, Tamaki's super romantic, Kyoya's evilly cute, and Mori looks like a giant teddy bear, so is that any consolation?
Episode: Either 20 or 24 - I mean, I love them both so much!
Scene: Oooo that's REALLY hard..... how about this?
"Were you just using me, Takashi..?"
*Mori jumps up, shocked and confused, shaking his head*
"Have I been RENTED to you, Takashi?!"
*Mori makes strange and upset, confused, shocked noises and shakes his whole body pleading Honey-senpai to understand*

1. Hetalia: Axis Powers/World Series
I'm just going to put it out there - there's NO WAY I can summarize this show. NO WAY.
It's just to random! And funny! And historic! And HOT!
But I'll tell you what I love about it - It's EVERYTHING I could ever want in an anime!
It's got hilarity, cute guys, funny stories, plenty of episodes (still coming out!), and it helps me learn History while I'm laughing my butt off.
In Hetalia, every country is a person, did I forget to mention?
This is my FAVORITE show of ALL TIME!! If you have to watch any show from this list, PLEASE watch this one!
